I love shooting. I love when the set is big and everything is falling into place. It’s intense. Here are some more great shots that photographer Sheryll Byrne got of me in action.

Today Change.gov released the official presidential portrait of President Barack Obama. The photograph was taken by newly-announced official White House photographer Pete Souza. It is interesting to note that this is the FIRST time that the Official Presidential Portrait has been taken with a digital camera (Canon, 5D Mark II).
In my photography bookmarks on my computer I have a section for “Photographers” and one for “Northwest Photographers”. I categorize the NW as extending from British Columbia to San Francisco, so it’s quite broad in scope. In this post I want to concentrate on Photographers who are based out of Portland, Oregon. Below are links to some great local talent. These are just some of the many Portland photographers that I have found to be inspiring. Please explore these sites and please let me know of some local photographers that you find interesting.
One of my favorite sites is the Amy Stein Photography blog. She is a photographer and teacher (Parsons New School For Design) in New York City. One of her projects that I have been following is a series called Stranded, where she drives across America and photographs stranded motorists on the side of the road.
