Local Talent

In my photography bookmarks on my computer I have a section for “Photographers” and one for “Northwest Photographers”. I categorize the NW as extending from British Columbia to San Francisco, so it’s quite broad in scope. In this post I want to concentrate on Photographers who are based out of Portland, Oregon. Oh, What Style

Through my friend Shawn Levy  Mad About Movies , I found this fun little site called Advanced Style. Although it’s more of just snap shots on the streets, I still think it’s worth a look. Some of the photos make me laugh, check the lady with the big glasses.

Finding Inspiration

I have a passion for keeping journals and filling them with random thoughts, sketches and other creative things that I think of or find.  In my latest notebook I have been making sure I write down names of photographers that I have been coming across lately.

One is a very cool Hip-Hop Underground photographer that I have been digging on as of late. He goes by the name of B+. I have run into his work several times in the past year on the XLR8R Music & Culture website and in Wax Poetics Magazine.
