If you are a freelancer or thinking of being one, these two resources will be a big help to your business.
The very latest entry on the Creative Pro Blog has a link to John Nack’s On Adobe blog. On his site, John Nack (Adobe senior solutions engineer, education) has created a FREE 10-page PDF of all the Lightroom 2 shortcuts.
Make sure to checkout both the Creative Pro site and John Nack’s on Adobe blog, as well as making use of this free download.

The past few weeks I have been meeting lots of Portland artist and because of that my wallet has become stuffed with business cards. Just last night alone I collected 15 new cards at an Artists’ Open Studio collective. As both an artist and a student I’m always looking for the most cost effective ways to promote myself and business cards are a great first step in cheap self promotion.
This month only (November) Phoenix Media PDX is running a special where you get 250 Business Cards for FREE. At the time of pick-up, just bring at least 5 non-perishable food items, which will be donated to the Oregon Food Bank. A great cause that benefits all who take advantage of this promotion.
I also found some great ideas on the Studio Art Direct Blog to help promote yourself in the current economic climate we are in.
Below are links that will help you navigate your way through the world of Adobe Lightroom.

To be a successful photographer you must know your rights. I have compiled some important resources that would be worth checking into.
- Orphan Works Bill (Important, Read!)
- The SAA Orphan Works Blog
- Photographer’s Legal Guide by Carolyn E. Wright
- Photo Attorney Blog (Carolyn E. Wright)
- “The Photographer’s Right.” (free PDF download) by Bert Krages
- Legal Handbook for Photographers: The Rights and Liabilities of Making Images, by Bert Krages
Below are some of the online photography resources that I use.
I have found several useful Audio and Video Podcasts in the PhotoCast Network.
On the tool side of things, Photoshop For Digital Photographers is a Video Podcast that comes out once a week and teaches some quicksteps to mastering your Photoshop skills.
Now that most of us are working in Lightroom, it would be wise to subscribe to Lightroom For Digital Photographers from your iTunes.
