Ways To Promote Your Art On The Cheap
The past few weeks I have been meeting lots of Portland artist and because of that my wallet has become stuffed with business cards. Just last night alone I collected 15 new cards at an Artists’ Open Studio collective. As both an artist and a student I’m always looking for the most cost effective ways to promote myself and business cards are a great first step in cheap self promotion.
This month only (November) Phoenix Media PDX is running a special where you get 250 Business Cards for FREE. At the time of pick-up, just bring at least 5 non-perishable food items, which will be donated to the Oregon Food Bank. A great cause that benefits all who take advantage of this promotion.
I also found some great ideas on the Studio Art Direct Blog to help promote yourself in the current economic climate we are in.

Photo Stuff From The Web
Below are some of the online photography resources that I use.
I have found several useful Audio and Video Podcasts in the PhotoCast Network.
On the tool side of things, Photoshop For Digital Photographers is a Video Podcast that comes out once a week and teaches some quicksteps to mastering your Photoshop skills.
Now that most of us are working in Lightroom, it would be wise to subscribe to Lightroom For Digital Photographers from your iTunes.
