I don’t know much about Portland photographer Brian Stevenson but I do know he makes some great images. Check out his beautiful collection called “Underwater”.

Today Change.gov released the official presidential portrait of President Barack Obama. The photograph was taken by newly-announced official White House photographer Pete Souza. It is interesting to note that this is the FIRST time that the Official Presidential Portrait has been taken with a digital camera (Canon, 5D Mark II).
One of my favorite sites is the Amy Stein Photography blog. She is a photographer and teacher (Parsons New School For Design) in New York City. One of her projects that I have been following is a series called Stranded, where she drives across America and photographs stranded motorists on the side of the road.
The New York Times has put together a great collection of photos from 2008.
