This past week I have been working on a catalog shoot for Liberty Glass. It’s been fun and interesting working with glass pieces. This is a quick edit I did on one of my photos.

Research For Product Shots

The next project on the docket is to shoot a product, easy enough, right? The only thing is, it must be in a cohesive series of three images. The product I have chosen is coffee. My idea is to capture in three different states; roasted whole bean, ground and in liquid form. I have a vision of creating a little set in the studio using different props that are coffee related.

Tomorrow I’m going to walk down the street to the Stumptown Coffee Roasters and get a pound of whole bean coffee and a burlap bag (the type that green coffee is stored in before it’s roasted). Thinking of using the burlap bag like a table cloth.

I like the moody look of these product shots.
