Above is a shot of me in action taken by Second Year Photography Student Sheryll Byrne.
This weekend I have the opportunity to team up with a real estate agent in SE Portland for some interior shots of homes that are on the market. It sounds like these homes are either going to be vacant or lightly decorated. My thought is to capture the open areas where the natural light and artificial mix. When I first enter these homes I will be looking to see how the light interacts with the “form” of the different rooms. I hope to create shots that tell a story about the physical nature of the home and less about the items that are placed in the home.
I have been doing a little reasearch for my Environmental Portrait photo shoot. I will be working with an athelete who does mixed martial arts. My thought is to capture him working out, with a punching bag, jumping rope, doing push-ups and other situations of phisical training. I find that I’m attracted to the “classic” old school boxing look of these photos.
